Don't Forget to Dress the Part!
Period dress is required in Cowboy Action matches! One of the great aspects of
cowboy action shooting is coming up with a "costume" or dress for your personna.
Participants may choose the style of costume they wish to ware, but all clothing must be typical
of the late 19th century, a B-western movie, or Western television series.
Denims of the Wrangler, Levi, and Lee variety are acceptable. Designer jeans (the ones
with colored piping and name embroidered on the pocket) are not allowed.
Outlawed:
Modern shooting gloves.
Short sleeve shirts.
Modern feathered cowboy hats(Shady Bradys). Straw hats of traditional design (e.g., Stetson,
Bailey, sombreros,) are acceptable.
Designer jeans.
Ball caps.
Tennis, running, jogging, or aerobic shoes(Indian moccasins work well for relaxing after a long
day in boots).
Clothing displaying manufacturer's or sponsor's badges or logos.
Nylon, plastic or velcro accouterments.
Club match regular visitors are Carol and Shirley from Five Sister's Gifts and Western Outfitters.
For a great period outfit, visit them at their store in Clearbrook, VA. It is located just north of Winchester, VA right
off of Interstate 81 at the Clearbrook exit.
2009 Dues
2009 Membership dues will remain at $15.00. You may send in payment to treasurer, Bruce Mooneyham,
aka Dig'em Deep for annual membership[ dues or pay at the first match of the season. Match fees for members will be
$10.00 and non-members $15.00. Drinking water will be provided at all matches and should be located close to each stage.
